Roadmap
-
A first release of a functioning map of people and projects.
Functional requirements:
- Read geospatial data about people and projects from an opencore server
- Opencore provides geospatial data about people and projects
- Display people and projects on a map of New York with custom marker images
- When a person or project marker is clicked, a popup appears with "badge"-style information about that content
- When a user visits the map in IE6/7, it works
Deferred:
- Writeability. This map is purely read-only; locations cannot be edited from the map interface, and new content cannot be created from the map interface.
- Notes. This map is only a map of people and projects on the site and no other content types.
- History feed. This map does not contain any sort of feed of history, as this would be rather uninteresting and redundant with map-external "feeds" of new and recently-updated content.
- Versioning. This map does not display information about content edits or allow revertability; if a user wants to edit his location or his projects' location, he must use the interfaces provided by opencore.
- Read geospatial data about people and projects from an opencore server
