Description (last modified by sbenthall) (diff)

Replace the Data page with a Search page with a text input and a Search button. The Search input should hook up to a Django powered text search (see #354)

A message that tells the number of result will appear beside the text input.

The client has requested that we get away from Extjs for the Data Search page, but I don't know whether it's more or less work to do it with Ext vs. doing it with Django templates.

We should look into this a bit before going forward. I think the current estimates assume the Ext implementation, but if we could ballpark the estimates for a Django implementation and compare them that would be useful.

To be clearer (thanks to David for the correct), I was really just referring to the Grid here, not the use of the library itself. We could not use it for the Grid and use Extjs for search form, for example.

Django powered text search may not be the way to go here actually.
